Arts Council casts Treasure Island

Monday, they looked like children. By Friday, they will be transformed into a mischievous lad, one of his six sisters or his pirate friends, thanks to the magic of Missoula Children’s Theatre.

The Covington Arts Council held auditions for this week’s production of Treasure Island Monday afternoon. The production is an original adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic novel.

The Andalusia Junior Woman’s Club, Coterie Club and Southeast Alabama Gas District helped make the production possible. A public performance is set for 6:30 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 20, in the Dixon Center on the LBWCC campus.
