Auburn’s Alverson has good start
Blanche Alverson, former Andalusia girls basketball standout and current Auburn Tigers women’s basketball player scored 16 points in her team’s 67-61 loss to Florida State on Monday night.
Alverson was 7-of-12 from the floor, and 2-of-3 in three-pointers. In rebounds, she had two on offense.
Last Friday, Alverson played in the first game of the season for the Tigers, and scored 11 points.
This season, Alverson has played an average of 28 minutes per game, has shot 13.5 points per game and has 2.5 rebounds per game.
Auburn will host Duke tomorrow night at 6 p.m. CST.
