Red Level splits in varsity action at Opp

The Red Level Tigers got off on the right track tonight with a 46-42 road victory over the Opp Bobcats.

Red Level and Opp remained tied at 9-9, after the first quarter, but the Tigers outscored the Bobcats 13-5 in the second quarter to take a 22-14 lead at the break.

Both teams scored 14 points each in the third quarter. The Tigers’ held firm in the fourth despite an Opp surge of 14 points.

James Feagin led Red Level with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and O.J. McGee added 11.

Opp’s Steadman Gerber had 13 points, and Tyler Harrison chipped in 12.

Red Level will travel to Flomaton to play in a Thanksgiving tournament next Mon., Nov. 22, and will play J.U. Blacksher at 3:30 p.m.

However, on the girls side, the Lady Bobcats came away with a 51-32 win over the Lady Tigers.

In B-team action, the Bobcats won 28-24.
