Over the holiday break, Andalusia’s boys varsity basketball team beat then unbeaten Hillcrest-Evergreen, and finished in third place at the Ozark Holiday Shoot Out last week.

The recent success for the Bulldogs propelled them to the No. 2 spot in the latest Class 4A basketball poll that was released by the Alabama Sports Writer’s Association today.

Andalusia improved to 17-2 on the season after a 62-26 defeat over rival Straughn on Tuesday night.

Additionally, Andalusia’s girls basketball team has been ranked for the first time this season. The Lady Bulldogs are at the No. 9 spot.

The Lady Bulldogs are 13-4.
