Andalusia’s golf team shot a 338, and won its first match of the season at Enterprise Country Club Tuesday.

Josh Atkinson shot a 2-over 74 to lead the Bulldogs in the first place finish, and Jordan Theus shot a 10-over 80.

Atkinson bogeyed the last hole after a blip on his second shot, AHS golf coach Marshall Locke said.

The Bulldogs will continue match play at the Blue-Gray Invitational tournament in Montgomery next Monday and Tuesday.

Locke said the team looked a little “rusty,” but there is plenty of time for improvement.

“I was glad it was our first golf match,” Locke said. “We know what we need to work on.

“Like I tell them every day, we’ve got to hit fairways and greens,” he said. “We’ve got to really focus on that — hitting fairways and greens.

“If we hit greens in regulation, we ought to do pretty good,” he said.
