Andalusia’s golf team picked up two wins earlier this week at Monroeville and Straughn.

“We’re improving,” AHS golf coach Marshall Locke said. “Our scores continues to be almost where I want them to be right now.

“We’re not playing the opponents, we’re playing the course,” he said.

The Bulldogs beat the six-team field Monday with the low-round of 153 at Monroeville, and defeated Straughn and Opp with an 18-hole round of 316 at Evans Barnes Golf Course at LBWCC.

Andalusia’s medalist Monday was Grayson Gantt, who shot a 37 in the nine-hole match.

Thomasville came in second place with a 154, and Monroeville came in third place with a 179.

On Tuesday, Josh Atkinson shot a low-round 75 to help lead the Bulldogs to the county rivalry victory.

Straughn finished with a 380 in its first match of the season.

Andalusia moves to 10-0 in match play, and 10-1 in tournament play this season.
