Lady Bulldogs get 1st area win

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs won their first area game Monday night with an 8-6 victory over the Headland Rams at LBWCC.

Andalusia’s Olivia Dixon picked up the win for the Lady Bulldogs. She struck out three and allowed six runs on six hits, two of which were home runs by Headland’s Katie Beth Drew and Brittany Elliot.

Jessica Park was 1-for-4 with one single and one run; Emily Terry was 0-for-3 with one run; Ellie Pollock was 1-for-3 with one single and one run; A.C. Riley was 1-for-2 with one double and an RBI; Megan Pugh was 0-for-3; Kenna Edmondson was 0-for-3 with one run; Abbie Young was 1-for-3 with one double and one run; and Andi Hughes was 1-for-3 with one double, one RBI and two runs.

Andalusia scored one run in the first inning, three runs in the third inning and four runs in the sixth inning.

Headland’s Jordan Watson was 1-for-4 with a single; Drew was 3-for-4 with a home run; Brianna Skipper was 0-for-3 with one run; and Elliot was 3-for-4 with a home run.
