Forty-five participants took part in Saturday’s Three Notch March 5K run/walk and 1-mile fun run.

The overall male winner was John Twitty, who finished the event with a time of 24 minutes and 20 seconds. Sarah Kelley finished as the overall female winner with a 28.58.

“We had a great day, and I learned a lot on putting this 5K together,” AHS volleyball coach Angie Grimes said. “I am glad the AJWC allowed us to do the 5K.”

• Gary Strickland (50-59)

• Sandra Davis (60-69)

• David Finlin (70-79)

All proceeds from the run/walk and fun run went to the AHS volleyball team to help cover the cost of new uniforms for the junior varsity and varsity teams, as well as, travel expenses for the teams.
