The 2011 Babe Ruth softball state tournament wrapped up today, and Alex City and Brewton walked away champions.

Alex City won in the 12-and-under All-Stars age group and East Brewton finished runner up; while Brewton won in the 10-and-under age group. South Alabama finished as the runner up of the 10-and-under age group.

With their finishes in the 12-and-under state tournament, Alex City, East Brewton and Brewton qualified to play in the 2011 Babe Ruth 12-and-under Softball World Series in August.
