Andalusia is still at the No. 7 spot in this week’s Alabama Sports Writer’s Association poll that was released today.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 26-7 region victory over Alabama Christian Academy last week.

AHS will play host to St. James this Friday night to continue its region play.

Andalusia is one spot above UMS-Wright, and one spot below Bibb Co., who are at the No. 8 and 6 spots, respectively.

Straughn, who was ranked No. 9 in the first poll of the season, was knocked out of the rankings after a 20-0 region loss to St. James last Friday night.

The Tigers will play host to ACA this Friday night.

Andalusia improved to 2-0 overall, and 1-0 in Class 4A, Region 2, and Straughn is 1-1, 0-1.

The ASWA is committee of prep sports writers that vote on the poll each week.
