Andalusia Isshinryu karate student Seth Dooley finished in first place in intermediate fighting, winning two matches with a score of 5-1 at the WYKKO Kumite Challenge Karate tournament in Oxford on Sept. 24. The Kumite Challenge is a fighting only tournament, and is hosted by the World Yoshukai Karate Kobudo Organization. In a separate but related tournament, brown belt Cheyenne Dugger won first place in kata, and second place in weapons and fighting at the Rattlesnake Challenge Open Taekwondo tournament held in Claxton, Ga., on Aug. 27.
