Nico Johnson wasn’t on the list of 14 players the Kansas City Chiefs released on Sunday.

The Chiefs made the roster move announcement at the end of the weekend to get closer to the NFL’s mandated 75-man roster by today at 3 p.m., according to the football team’s website.

After Sunday, the team had 76 players on the roster.

The NFL’s final roster cut down to 53 players has to take place before 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Two players from Alabama — Otha Foster III of West Alabama and Neiko Thorpe of Auburn, both defensive backs — were released by the team.
