Straughn jumped two spots to No. 8 in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 3A basketball poll.
The Tigers improved to 15-4 overall after a 58-43 win over Florala on Monday, and a 49-40 win over Opp last Friday.
SHS will be hosting the Class 3A, Area 2 tournament, which starts next Friday for boys.
Straughn’s girls (21-1) are still ranked No. 3 in their poll.
