Twelve young women in Covington County will be invited to have lunch with Miss Mallory Hagan, Miss America 2013.

Those young women, 8th grade through 12th grade, who would like to have lunch with Miss America, should write a 1,000 word essay about why they would like to be Miss America. The contest is open to all girls in Covington County, and 12 girls will be chosen to have lunch with Hagan at the home of Jennifer Scherzinger.

All essays should be submitted by March 1, 2014, to each school’s representative. The author should attach her name and phone number on a cover page for easy notification.

The luncheon will be held on Sat., March 15.

Adults who’d like to meet Hagan can meet here at the Covington County Imagination Library’s second annual Little Black Dress event set for Sat., March 15, at the Andalusia Country Club. Tickets are $100 each, and only 200 will be sold.
