City officials are asking residents to refrain from disposing of non-recyclable materials – especially medical waste – in the green recycling trash bags after a scary situation at the Andalusia recycling center.

According to officials, two incidents occurred at the center involving workers stuck by hypodermic needles deposited inside the bags.
