Red Level came closer to getting a regular-season win Friday night, but the Tigers ended up falling 26-21 to J.U. Blacksher.

“We played hard, but still made a bunch of mistakes,” Tigers head football coach David Godwin said. “We had a few special team errors and had a few turnovers that hurt us a little bit.”

At halftime, Red Level was ahead 21-12.

Godwin said he was “proud” of a few guys’ effort last night, but some others were a “little bit questionable.”

“We’ve got to address that Monday,” he said. “We’re going to change a little bit personnel wise. The ones who aren’t getting the job done, they’re going to have to improve better or someone’s going to get their spot.”

RLS hosts Notasulga next week in regular-season action.
