Robert Baxter has been named minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Florala.

In the last 60 years, the Rev. Baxter has joyfully ministered churches in Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, South Carolina, Alabama, Australia, and New Zealand.

He and his wife, Marylu, have two children that are also active in Christian ministry. Their son is a missionary who has ministered in 113 countries and teaches missionaries in the United States. Their daughter is a director of a pro-life ministry in the Kansas City area.

The Baxters are very happy to be in Florala next to beautiful Lake Jackson teaching others about our Lord Jesus and his life.

The church is located in downtown Florala and meets Sundays at 10 a.m. for Sunday School, 11 a.m. for worship service, and 5:30 p.m. for Sunday Evening Service of singing, Bible Study message, and fellowship meal in the education building.
