New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will play his last game as a big-leaguer tonight in the Bronx.

Jeter and NY had a chance of making the postseason the night before, but a 9-5 loss to AL East champion Baltimore Orioles quelled that hope.

According to reports, the Yankees missed the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since 1992-93. The other time was during the 2008 season.

Leading up to Jeter’s final game, famous stars and fans across the country have been attending games to see the shortstop in action one more time.

Game time tonight is at 6:05 and coverage will be aired on Major League Baseball Network.
