The congregation of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church invites the community to join them in celebrating the end of the Christmas season and the manifestation of Christ to the peoples of the earth at a traditional tea and choral evening prayer Sunday for the Feast of the Epiphany.

The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the revelation of God the Son as a human being in Jesus Christ. It also commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ Child.

The traditional date for the feast is Jan. 6.

It has long been the tradition of St. Mary’s to host the community at a tea on the Sunday closest to the Epiphany.

The tea will be held from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. this Sun., Jan. 4, with evening prayer set for 4:15 p.m.
