Seven people were involved in a two-vehicle wreck, but only one suffered minor injuries during the incident at the intersection of Harmony Church Road and County Road 70 on Thursday afternoon.

The wreck involved a 2009 Kia Sedona and a white Chevrolet 4500 company truck that belongs to the Wiregrass Construction Co.

Another Wiregrass construction truck was involved in a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 84 on Wednesday.

Alabama State Trooper Matthew Kennedy said the truck, in this incident, didn’t contribute in the wreck.

“The van was stopped at the stop sign (at Harmony Church Road), pulled out in front of (the truck) and failed to yield the right of way to the Wiregrass truck,” Kennedy said. “Then, it hit there in the road way.”

The entire front of the van was torn apart, and luckily, both airbags deployed in the Sedona.

Kennedy said there were five people in the van, and two in the truck. The one injury occurred to a woman in the van.

Kennedy said the injured was taken by Advanced EMS to Andalusia Regional Hospital, adding that the woman who was injured was complaining of “shoulder pain.”

The wreck is still under investigation.

The Antioch Volunteer Fire Dept., Covington County Sheriff’s Office, Advanced EMS and the Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
