This year’s South Central Alabama Mental Health Children’s Festival will be held today, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Springdale.

The event will feature kid-friendly games and activities as well as bouncy houses, food and face paitning.

It is free and open to the community.

“Join us as we raise community awareness, increase education and end a stigma associated with children and mental health issues,” Staci Wilson, marketing director at SCAHM, said.
