Making a list of activities for your children this summer?

If so, First Baptist Church of Andalusia may have just the thing for your little one.

FBC Music Minister Dwight Crigger said this summer will mark the eighth year for the church’s summer music camp, which begins Mon., June 8, and runs through Fri., June 12, from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., daily.

Crigger said he’s done music camps for years.

“We moved to Andalusia from Atlanta and had done it for probably 10 years there,” he said. “We brought it with us. It’s been successful; it’s grown.”

This year, Crigger is hoping for an ever bigger program.

Crigger said he’s still choosing the theme, but hopes to make the decision by the end of the week, but said residents can expect something similar to previous years, which includes, music, drama, chorography and more.

Camp registration is now open and the cost is $50, which goes toward purchasing T-shirts, supplies and music for the campers.

The camp is open to all children finishing first grade through those finishing fifth grade, but said sixth graders are welcome to participate.

A performance will be held on Fri., June 12, at First Baptist Church.
