![More than 150 kids kicked off Andalusia Public Library’s annual summer reading program Thursday afternoon with a balloon release and a presentation from the McWane Science Center. Clad in her super librarian cape, APL Children’s Librarian Caryl Lee Ray (bottom right) welcomed the youngsters to another year of the program. Ray reminded those attending that this year’s theme is super heroes. Each Thursday afternoon, kids will gather at the APL Dixon Room to hear from different presenters on the benefits of reading.
