A day after a two-vehicle accident in which two were airlifted to out-of-state hospitals, Andalusia Police were still not releasing new details or the names of those injured.
According to a release, preliminary reports show that a Pontiac Bonneville was traveling westbound on MLK Jr. Expressway and crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Volkswagen Passat.
Names and identities are not being released at this time.
“Thankfully, we do not have accidents of this severity occur often in our city,” APD Chief Paul Hudson said.
“We are grateful that we have the multitude of experienced first responders that we do. When an accident of this nature, or any accident occurs, please slow down your speed of travel, keep your eyes on the highway and watch for first responders.”
