Chamber’s July Jamz begins tonight

Music lovers, break out your lawn chairs and head to Springdale at 6:30 tonight for the first of this month’s July Jamz.

The event is sponsored by the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce.

Local band Issues will hit the stage tonight featuring Scott Rogers, Phillip McClung, Zane Johnson and Jim Ed Brown.

Chamber Executive Director Chrissie Duffy said Wednesday she was excited about the event and said the idea is to bring about more quality of life for the city.

“It’s going to be great,” she said. “This is a family-friendly event that we hope will enhance the lives of the community.”

Everyone from Covington County is invited to participate.

Additionally, there will be Kona Ice for sale and kids may purchase glow necklaces and play on a foam cannon.

The event will culminate with a fireworks show.
