Our nation is in such an ungodly mess that it can only be salvaged from the clutches of Satan by prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are going to elect a number of government officials this year.

Many look to solve our problems by electing certain candidates.

But have you prayed?

Will your prayers do any good?

God’s Word gives definite instructions to His people which, if followed, will ensure that your prayers will result in good.

These instructions are from II Chronicles 7:13-14; and if professing Christians will heed them, God will change the laws that promote the murder of helpless babies.

He will do battle against all ungodly laws which restrict Christians and promote ungodly life-styles.

The instructions: “ If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or If I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people; if My people, who are called by My name, shall Humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from theirwicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (or nation) Emphasis on then is by the writer.

Some people say, because they don’t like either party’s candidate, that they just will not vote.

Is this a good decision? I think not.

Dr. Frank Wright, of D. James Kennedy Ministries, put in words, very well, why Christians should vote, even if they dislike, as a person, a candidate.

He points out that we should be voting for the good of our nation, and for the candidate who will be the most likely to promote the values consistent with the Bible and our Constitution.

If all the professing Christians, who are eligible to vote, do so; they would most likely ensure that their candidate was elected.

Remember, we are then to pray for those who are elected.

I Timothy Chapter 2 tells us that we are to pray for all that are in authority.

A bonus for you! Would you like to have the peace of God?

If so, read and study Philippians 4:6-7.
