Crowder: Who is this child in Isaiah’s prophecy?

In the book of Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 we are given a phenomenal prophesy.

The prophet Isaiah says: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace,” (Isaiah 9:6 KJV).

Follow with me as we see just who this child is.

Now we go from Isaiah to Luke 1:31. “And behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.”

Here we see Gabriel, who was sent by God, to Mary to tell her that she would be the one who would bring the messiah into the world, and his name would be Jesus. So as we see the child foretold in Isaiah we see now has a name, Jesus. Now if we look in phil.

2:9 we see just how important this child’s name Jesus is: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name”.

Jesus is very important so important God gave him a name which is above ALL names.

Now if we look in Acts 4:12 we see the importance of Jesus.

Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

This child that was foretold in Isaiah and again in Luke then given a name above all names, now has the only name in which our salvation comes through.

See Jesus wasn’t just some child with just some name. Jesus was prophesied about throughout the bible and was given a name above all names and given a name in which salvation comes by.

This Christmas season I urge to take time and think that this child becomes the man, the God man, who willingly lays his life down for you.

See all you need to do is believe with your whole heart that Jesus is Lord and that

He died to pay the price you owed for your sins, then on the third day God rose him from the dead.

I pray and urge you to let’s stop and reflect on the reason for the season, Jesus Christ.
