Jackson Henderson then tied the game with in a infield single.

The Saints took the lead when Trey McMillian singled to left field to score Sharp from third.

The bases remained juiced for the Saints as an error off the bat of Gunner Hendrix gave the Saints a 4-2 advantage.

Matthew Christian followed with a blast to right field for a grand slam.

After a double from Jones, Callier sent a fly to center that allowed C. Henderson to score and give the Saints a 9-2 lead.

Christian came back up to the plate for the Saints in the bottom of the third inning and sent another ball screaming over the fence in center to put the Saints on top 11-5.

The Saints added two more runs in the bottom of the third to take a 13-5 lead.

“We are battling through some serious injuries right now,” Saints’ head coach Steve Helms said. “Over a really short span, we have had seven pitchers go down with freak injuries and it looks like four of them will probably miss the rest of the season. Today, we had six infielders work on the mound just to see if they can pitch. The kids are still finding ways to win, but it is going to get tough down the road. I really hate for those kids that will miss the season, because they have really worked so hard to get here. This team is going to fight. They aren’t going to roll over and feel sorry for themselves. They aren’t going to make any excuses. They will just get out there and keep grinding.”
