Lady Saints split with Lake Michigan CC

The LBWCC Lady Saints split contest with Lake Michigan Community College on Wednesday afternoon in Andalusia.

LBWCC 15,

LMCC 6

In the opening game, the Lady Saints fell behind early, but surged in the late innings for a 15-6 victory over Lake Michigan.

Lake Michigan got on the board with two runs in the top of the first inning off of three-straight two out hits.

Paige Taylor tied the game up in the bottom of the first inning when she sent a ball screaming over the fence in right center for a two-run home run.

Lake Michigan responded with four runs in the top of the third inning to take a 6-2 lead, but the Lady Saints weren’t going down with out a fight.

The Lady Saints took advantage of timely hits and a couple of errors in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game back up.

Lake Michigan’s pitcher then loaded walked in two runs to put the Saints up 8-6.

M Morse then brought in a pair of runs with a double to left field.

Taylor Bethea then put the Lady Saints on top 11-6 with a single.

LMCC 8,

LBWCC 6

The Lady Saints went on top 5-2 early in the second game, but Lake Michigan added runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings for an 8-6 win.

C Cincotta led the way at the plate for the Lady Saints with two RBIs in the final game.

Katelyn Kinsaul was 1-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored.

Taylor added an RBI and two hits for the Lady Saints.
