Matt Christian followed with a fly ball to center for the first out and McMillian was thrown out at the plate.

Chauncey Callier got things started with a single in the bottom of the second inning and the moved around to third when Jake Stamps reached on an error.

Wallace-Dothan responded in the top of the third inning with four runs to put them on top 4-3.

Like the Saints, the Governors took advantage of costly walks and errors that lead to the big inning.

In the bottom of the third inning, Callier reached with line drive double to center and Stamps drew a walk to put the Saints in business.

J. Henderson dropped down timely sacrifice bunt down the third base line to move the Saints’ runners to second and third with just one out.

C. Henderson followed with a seeing-eye single through the left side of the infield that allowed Callier to score and tie game at 4-4.

The Saints then grabbed the lead when Morris drove fly deep enough to center for Stamps to tag up and score from third.

The lead didn’t last long as the Governors got a leadoff home run to start the top of the fourth inning and tie the game 5-5.

Both teams got a boost from their pitching and defense as the game remained 5-5 going into the bottom of the seventh inning.

J. Henderson drove a single to center to start the bottom of the seventh inning and then moved up to third on sacrifice bunt from C. Henderson.

Morris then stepped in with winning run on second and one out in the inning.

Morris fouled off the first pitch and watched the second pitch go by for a ball before sending the third pitch back up the middle of the diamond for a single.

The Governors’ center fielder fielded the ball and made a hurried throw to the plate but it wasn’t nearly in time to keep Henderson from scoring the winning run.

Callier continued to help guide the Saints as he lead off the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo home run to center to put LBWCC on top 2-0.

Kucera was dominant on the mound and held the Governors to just three hits scattered over seven innings.
