Vacation Bible Schools begin this week

Galactic Starveyors seems to be the most popular theme for Vacation Bible Schools this summers. As kids focus their telescopes on the marvels painted in the sky by the Creator, they will discover the wonder among all wonders – that the God who created everything there is – the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible.

A list of VBS events shared with The Star-News follows.

Hopewell Baptist Church is hosting Maker FunFactory June 5-9 from 6-8:30 each night, ages 4 years through 6th grade.

Christ the King Catholic Church is hosting Vacation Bible School June 5-9. Activities begin daily with lunch at 11:30 a.m., and ending at 3 p.m.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 16018 Zion Hill Rd., Andalusia, is hosting Galactic Starveyors VBS, Sun. – Thurs., June 4-8, 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Classes for preschool through adult. Pigeon Creek Baptist Church, Red Level, is hosting Galactic Starveyors Vacation Bible School Wed. – Sat., June 7-10, from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Pre-K through 6th grade; youth and adult classes available

First Baptist Church, East Three Notch, Andalusia is hosting Galactic Starveyors VBS, June 5 – 9, 2017, 8:30 a.m. – noon. VBS is for children entering Kindergarten (5 years old on or before Sep 1, 2017) through completed 5th grade. Online registration available at http://bit.ly/fbc_vbs. All children are welcome.

Cedar Grove Church of Christ, is hosting VBS, June 4 – 7, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. It’s for ages 2 through fifth grade.

Antioch Congregational Church will hold VBS June 5 though 9, from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Lindsey Bridge Baptist Church will hold their VBS, July 10 – 14, 6 p.m. until 8:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with family night Friday at 6 p.m.
