Andalusia’s First United Methodist Church will honor local first responders next Sunday during morning worship.

Pastor Dr. Jason Thrower said that the church is inviting all firemen, EMTs and police officers to the service in order to recognize local heroes and give thanks for them.

“We will recognize them during the worship service,” he said. “And then have a luncheon in their honor.”

Church officials are asking those who wish to attend to RSVP by Sept. 5 by calling the church office at 222-5018.

The service starts at 11 a.m.
