This year’s Opp Fest will feature a local band from Opp. Today’s Yesterday Band is a band made up of six locals, and performs covers of popular new and old songs alike. The cover band started with humble beginnings.

“We actually started playing in our barn,” Donnie Wilson, one of the lead singers said.

The band is more than two years old now, and has performed more than 50 shows.

“Once we started posting videos on the internet, it went from there,” Wilson said, “We’re just really blessed.”

This is their second year performing for Opp Fest. The band will perform from 12:15-2:15 p.m.

This year’s expected playlist will be full of a variety of covers: Jason Aldean, Journey, older country music, 90s music, and some pop.

Today’s Yesterday Band’s crew features: Donnie and Danielle Wilson of Opp, as lead vocalists; Larry English of Andalusia, as bass guitarist; Gary Kyser of Elba, drummer; Robert Couch of Florala, as lead guitarist; and PJ Parrish of Andalusia, also as lead guitarist.

Other entertainment for the day will include: Opp High School Marching Band, and Linda Clifton, who will sing the National Anthem.

Opp Fest will begin Oct. 28, 2017, at 8 a.m.
