Wreck claims man, 38
A one-vehicle wreck claimed the life of a man on Thursday afternoon.
The wreck occurred on County Road 70 between County Road 81 and Shoemaker Road.
The State Troopers and Babbie Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at 2:52 p.m.
The driver of a 1995 red Nissan Pathfinder, Michael Shane Cauley, 38, of Satsuma, was traveling towards Shoemaker Road when his vehicle ran into the ditch and kept traveling until it collided with pine trees.
The man was ejected from the vehicle through the driver’s side door. He was pronounced dead on scene.
The cause of wreck is still being investigated by State Troopers.
