A controlled fire that got out of hand in River Falls Sunday required mutual aid.

River Falls Fire Department and Alabama Forestry responded to the fire around 5:40 p.m.

The fire crossed the original fire line on Willie Frank Road in the Red Level/River Falls area. The fire department responded with a brush truck, an engine and a tanker engine.

The brush truck and the engine were used to attack the fire and for protecting structures from any possible damage. The tanker and engine were used for water supply.

The Alabama Forestry Commission was called because of the difficulty to reach the fire. The AFC deployed their dozer and created a fire line to control the fire.
