Saints break out brooms on Wallace-Selma

The LBWCC Saints swept Wallace-Selma on Saturday in baseball action in Andalusia.

GAME ONE

LBWCC 10,

SELMA 9

In the opening game of the series, the Saints picked up a walk-off victory over Wallace-Selma.

Wallace-Selma took the lead to start the first, but the Saints took the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first.

Wallace-Selma later tied the game 9-9 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.

Jesse Hall reached off an error to start the inning and then moved to second on sacrifice bunt from Casey Henderson.

A pair of walks then loaded the bases for the Saints.

In less than dramatic fashion, Ko Powell drew bases-loaded walk to give the Saints a 10-9 victory.

GAME TWO

LBWCC 13,

SELMA 0

The Saints finished off the sweep with a 13-0 victory in five innings.

Jamison Morris, Russell Olsey, Jason Barlow and Tanner Harden combined to no-hit Wallace-Selma.

Bryson Gandy finished the game 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Powell and Jackson Henderson drove in two runs each.
