The Bishop State Wildcats grabbed an early lead and held off the LBWCC Saints for a 5-2 victory on Thursday in Mobile.

Bishop State loaded the bases off a walk, error and single to start the bottom of the first inning and then took a 2-0 lead with a one-out single.

Chauncey Callier singled with one-out in the top of the fourth inning and then scored on a double from Matthew Christian.

Christian then came around to score on a single from Jessie Hall, but the Saints trailed 3-2.

Bishop State added two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pick up the 5-2 victory.

The Saints will be back in action on Saturday when Bishop State comes to Andalusia. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
