Saints blister Coastal South

The LBWCC Saints came up with big hits as they knocked off Coastal-Alabama South on Friday in Bay Minette.

LBWCC got on the scoreboard first in the top of  the first inning when Chauncey Callier blasted a solo home run.

Coastal South came back with two runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-1 lead.

Walker Messer was hit by a pitch to start the top of the second inning and then moved to second on sacrifice from Casey Henderson.

Ko Powell then doubled, but Messer was held up at third base.

Jackson Henderson followed with a ground out, but it allowed Messer to score the tying run.

Callier then drove in Powell to put the Saints up 3-2.

In the top of the third inning, Bryson Gandy started the frame with a single and then Jessie Hall drove him in with a triple to left field.

A ground out then brought home Hall to put the Saints on top 5-2.

Messer reached safely after drawing a one-out walk and then advanced to third on single from C. Henderson.

Messer later came around to score off of an error.

Powell followed with a line drive single to left field that put the Saints up 7-2.

The Saints added another run in the top of the fifth inning off of a sacrifice fly from Callier.

Messer drove in two runs with a double in the top of the sixth inning.
