LBWCC Saints falls to Chatt. Valley

The LBWCC Saints fell 14-5 to Chattahoochee Valley Community College on Thursday in Andalusia.
CVCC took advantage of poor pitching from the Saints in the top of the first inning.
The Saints issued four walks, including one with the bases loaded, that allowed CVCC to take a 2-0 lead.
Jesse Hall doubled with one out in the bottom of the first inning and later came around to score off of an error.
In the top of the second inning, another walk and a pair of hits allowed CVCC to go on top 4-1.
Chauncey Callier doubled with two outs in the bottom of the fourth and then scored on a double from Walker Messer.
CVCC scored two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 9-2 lead.
Casey Henderson walked with one out in the bottom and moved up to third on a double from Bryson Gandy.
With two outs in the inning, Walker Messer laced a single to left field to score C. Henderson and Gandy.
Jackson Henderson was then hit by pitch to put runners on first and second.
Ko Powell then drove in Messer with a single to make the 9-5 heading into the final inning.
In the top of the seventh inning, CVCC answered back with five runs to take a 14-5 lead with just three outs left in the game.
Matt Christian struck out to start the bottom of the second inning and then Trevor Shelton popped out to third base.
C. Henderson drew a walk, but the Saints struck out for the final out of the game.
