The Road Runner Express Carwash is up and running.

David Floyd, the owner, said the carwash has been open since Friday and so far, business has been good.

Floyd and his wife, Deborah, own two locations of the Road Runner Express Carwash, the Brewton location and the Andalusia location.

“We did a soft opening and the business has been good so far,” Floyd said.

But there’s something a little different about this car wash.

“The main thing is at our car wash, with our best wash package, we have attendants that actually vacuum and detail the inside of your car,” Floyd said. “All of that for $18.”

Floyd said the idea is that he wants to offer the customers the best they can get with their money.

“I’m trying to go back to the style of the old days where there were full service car washes. When you leave the car wash your car will look like it’s been really cleaned.”

Floyd said that three to four attendants work per a shift.

There’s a waiting lobby on the inside that has a vending machine, a TV and other entertainment.

“It’ll take no more than 15 minutes for the attendants to clean out your car,” he said.

Floyd said there are other packages available.

“We have a basic package, a super package, a deluxe package and “The Works,” which is our best package and the only package that has attendants clean the inside of your car.”

Floyd plans to have a grand opening within the next month or so.

“We will probably have a vintage car show, maybe some free hotdogs and also special pricing on the car washes,” he said. “I’m really excited to be open. We’ve been working on this for quite some time and we have some of the best equipment inside our carwash.”

Floyd says he excited to service the people of Andalusia.

“This will be a great thing and in a great area too,” he said.
