More evidence has been recovered in the Covington County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation of the deadly shooting at the Soggy Bottom Tavern earlier this month.
The shooting, which occurred on Sat., June 2, resulted in the death of Zadarios Arlyic McCaskill, 22.
McCaskill was shot in the chest at the bar at around 1:59 a.m.
“We have made progress,” Sheriff Dennis Meeks told the Star-News on Tuesday morning. “Other evidence has been recovered and there have been things sent off to forensics.”
Meeks said that investigators have been trying to connect the pieces to the puzzle.
“We are investigating this thoroughly,” he said.
