The scattered storms that blew through the county on Thursday afternoon also brought gusts of wind that blew limbs and trees down.

The Gantt Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 3:45 to 33433 Jordan Grove Road due to a tree falling on a trailer.

“The owners said that a thunderstorm blew through and a gust of wind blew a tree into their trailer,” Scott Fight, the Fire Chief, said.

“It fell through a secondary roof they had built and actually busted the rafters in their kitchen.”

Fight said he gave the owners a number to a good tree removal service and EMA volunteers came out to give the owners a tarp for the hole in the roof.
