Cadence Bank and members of the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the launch of new interactive teller technology at the bank’s local branch.

The Cadence LIVE Teller interactive teller machine (ITM) is available at the MLK Jr. Expressway branch. The ITM combines innovative technology with the service and expertise of an in-person bank visit, connecting customers with a live teller for personalized support and more flexible hours. It is part of a footprint-wide expansion of the bank’s ITM fleet to 60 machines by year-end 2021.

In addition to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the ITM’s launch, the branch also presented a Live Teller demonstration, allowing customers to view the LIVE Teller in action.

“We are intent on delivering a high-quality customer experience, and through this expansion, we will bring fast, efficient service and extended banking hours to many more of our local markets,” said Steve Welling, director of retail banking. “Our ITMs are the perfect blend of high-tech, high-touch, letting customers do their banking at times convenient to them while talking with a live teller for any assistance they might need.”

A Cadence LIVE Teller ITM allows customers to speak remotely with a live teller to conduct many of the same transactions they would handle inside the branch, yet faster and more efficiently. These transactions include account withdrawals, cash or check deposits, account transfers, and more. The video technology is user-friendly and easy to operate using touch screens.

The LIVE Tellers can also assist with debit card needs like increasing a customer’s debit card limit and help a customer close a lost or stolen Cadence debit card and issue a replacement.

The ITM provides extended banking hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon, letting customers bank before and after normal branch business hours and on Saturdays.
