GALLERY: Andalusia Tennis Association concludes 21st summer camp

For the past six weeks the Andalusia Tennis Association, in conjunction with the City of Andalusia, held its 21st Andalusia Summer Tennis Camp.

The camp has been an annual summer program for the past 21 years offering local children ages 5-18 the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis and to play competitively with one another.

Winners and runners-up from each category are as follows:

  • 8 & Under Girls: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Madelyn Wells, Runner-Up Addilyn Bougafa, Assistant Monica King
  • 8 & Under Boys: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Will Bergfeld, Runner-Up Lawrence Sargent, Assistant Monica King
  • 9 & 10-Year-Old Girls: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Greenie McKee, Runner-Up Joy Marie Amis, Assistant Monica King
  • 9 & 10 Year-Old Boys: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Micah Daniels, Runner-Up Simon Shellhouse, Assistant Monica King
  • Girls Beginner: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Ramsey Bergfeld, Runner-Up Madison White, Assistant Monica King
  • Boys Beginner: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Nicholas Shellhouse, Runner-Up Brennan Peek, Assistant Monica King
  • Girls Intermediate/Advanced: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Claire Maurer, Runner-Up Addison Owen, Assistant Monica King
  • Boys Intermediate/Advanced: Coach Paul Smith, Champion Isaac McMath, Runner-Up Aaron Shellhouse, Assistant Monica King

The camp ended on July 20, 2023, with a successful tournament.
