Members of the Andalusia Fire Department and Andalusia Police Department were among the first responders who attended a cookout on Thursday, Nov. 2, hosted by the Alabama Forestry Association, Sen. Josh Carnley and Rep. Matthew Hammett on the Andalusia City Hall campus.
AFA Grassroots Coordinator Anna Morgan Duke said the Forestry Association is sponsoring cook-outs statewide to show their appreciation for the cooperation between the agency and those who serve as local first responders.
“We often work in partnership with local first responders and we wanted to do something to show them our appreciation,” Duke said.
