Girls Scouts making rounds in county selling famous cookies

Been dying for a taste of some Thin Mints or Peanut Butter Patties?

Well, suffer no more.

The red, turquoise, purple and green boxes of Girl Scout cookies are on sale now and will be available at a selection of upcoming cookie sales.

Carrie Nowling, troop leader for Andalusia troop No. 9147, said the girls are selling all types of cookies, including Shortbreads, caramel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Sandwiches, Lemonades, Thanks-A-Lots and Shout Outs.

Each box sells for $3.50.

The official sale of Girl Scout cookies kicked off Jan. 1, and will continue until March 11.

Mark your calendar for these dates:

• Feb. 4: Massey Automotive, all day.

• Feb. 11: Opp IGA, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• Feb. 18: Harold’s Furniture, all day.

• Feb. 25: O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• March 2, 3, 9 and 10: Pic-N-Save, from 3:30 p.m. until close.
