Red Level’s Lania Paulk back in time for annual Christmas tournament

One good thing the Red Level Lady Tigers can look forward to heading into next week’s annual Christmas tournament is Lania Paulk.

Paulk, a senior, has been sitting on the sidelines since day one of the basketball season. She was ineligible to play because she transferred from a different school. After a five-day waiting period, that wait is over.

“She’ll be an asset on the inside,” Red Level coach Delores Douglas said about Paulk. “I’ll play her on the low block forward. That will allow me to bring Koneshia (Calloway) out to handle the ball a little bit more. I hope it picks up.”

Douglas said Paulk will definitely provide a big “key” for her team next week.

“We want to basically get Lania involved,” she said. “We’ve been trying to get her involved in the rotation.”

Red Level will open against Highland Home at 6 p.m. on Dec. 28.
