Mark your calendars, it’s time for the annual Andalusia Classics & Streetrods family fun day.

The sixth annual event will be held next Sat., Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kiwanis building.

The Andalusia Classics and Streetrods will hold its annual fun day complete with an indoor car show Sept. 18. Shown are a few classic cars the group displayed at an event last year.

The event will feature an inside car show.

More than 100 antique and classic vehicles will be on display with $500 going to best of show, and $100 each to best engine, best interior & best paint.

Organizer Ronnie Kilgore said the group tries to change up the show each year to make it more interesting.

“We’ll have several model A and Ts, which brings people,” he said. “Two or three of the prettiest ’57 Chevys in the south and numerous Mustangs 641/2 and up, and probably a few surprises along the way.”

The Andalusia High School Quarterback Club will have food for sale and the Andy High Majorettes will sell 50/25/25 tickets, where two tickets are drawn and 25 percent of the pot goes to each of the two winners and the other 50 percent to the majorettes.Ticket holders must be present to win.

Enterainment will include karaoke by Tom Knowles & Co., and live entertainment by Kristan Mikala.

For the children there will be arts and crafts, a coloring contest and games throughout the day.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Meredith’s Miracles.

Kilgore said there are outside spots available on the midway.

Cost is $2 for general admission and children 10 and under get in free with an adult.
