Thirty two-person “mixed” scramble teams participated in the Susan G. Komen for a Cure golf tournament sponsored by the Andalusia Women’s Golf Association on Sat., Oct. 16 at the Andalusia Country Club.

This was the 11th Susan G. Komen for a Cure tournament the AWGA has sponsored.

Andalusia merchants, the Andalusia Regional Hospital, the Andalusia Men’s Golf Association, several physicians and many individuals helped make the tournament a success.

“We appreciate them doing this and sincerely thank each one,” Colleen Petrey, tournament chairman said. “Hopefully our ‘bit’ will lead to the cure we so desire. We are proud that we could send an even larger contribution this year than prior years.”
