Opp will soon make the map as one of its radio stations – WOPP – will become the setting for a reality TV show about a small-town radio station next month.

“Cattle Boys,” which is described as a family comedy reality TV show set in Southeast Alabama is produced by Mark D’Anna of Glassman Media.

“For this segment our two characters will be coming to a radio station to promote a real upcoming event,” D’Anna said in a letter.

Glassman Media is familiar with this part of Alabama as it produces “Sweet Home Alabama,” and is also famous for “Average Joe,” “Southern Nights” “ExWives Club” and “Momma’s Boys.”

WOPP General Manager Robert Boothe said he is excited and that the show is filming in prime Rattlesnake Rodeo time.

“You never know what might happen,” he said.

D’Anna is looking to shoot in Opp from March 10-March 14 or March 21 and March 22.

The show will air on a national cable network in late 2013.
